Features

Our Turmeric mask is a simple, rich, low-irritant mask for frequent use on all skin types. The mask is clay-thickened and spreads smoothly over the skin providing full coverage. On rinsing a light exfoliation effect from the clay is experienced.

Benefits.

Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory, Anti-microbial and Anti-itch benefits thanks, in part to its Curcumin concentration.  Bentonite clay is a good detoxifying agent with strong drawing capacity and Kaolin is a gentle skin cleansing clay.

Customisation Potential.

This clay mask can be used as supplied or can be enhanced by adding glycerin or water based herbal or fruit extracts, water-soluble actives or small amounts of essential oils (0.1-0.5% of skin safe blends).  This base is not designed to hold vegetable oils.

Use Instructions.

Apply the mask liberally to damp, freshly washed skin. The mask is suitable for face and body but the eye area should be avoided. Leave on for up to 20 minutes after which time the mask can be gently removed using a wash-cloth and warm water.  Use once a week for a deep cleanse and to soothe stressed skin.

Cautions.

As the Curcumin in Turmeric is oil soluble this mask could slightly stain clothing your wash-cloth or towels in some situations.  As with any natural product it is best to patch-test this mask prior to applying it over the face and body. Turmeric and clay have a low potential for irritation but patch testing is recommended.
